The NEW Ranks.

Silentkat completely fucked up the ranks and made them way to easy to get, so here's the new ranks. These may or may not be changed in the future.

Recruit 0
Soldier 100
Sarge 500
Lieutenant 1000
Forum Captain 2000
Forum Warrior 3500
Forum Master 5000
Supreme Commander Over 9000
Forum God 10000

I'm sorry, I just wanted users to relax while posting, without worrying about ranks.

I should change the ranks to something HILARIOUS.

Only on April Fool's day.

Also, I have Winter Auras I made in Photoshop, if you wanna use them.

1,000 post is way to low for the top rank.

10,000 is more suitable, I guess.

It's better than 30,000.

30,000 is perfectly fine. I'll probably change them back to that once a user gets 10,000 post, maybe even before that.

I highly doubt any users will reach 10k, considering NG has well over two million users and not even more that a thousandth of a percent of that have more than ten thousand posts.

You can easily make 100 post a day on here. On NG 60 post is pretty hard.

I fit in about 90 today.

Two weeks, rounding up, is way too short for the top rank.

I have a better way to rank up, but i don't know how you guys would go about implementing it. How about, at the bottom of each post, there is a button similar to the Facebook "Like" button. If someone likes your post, you gain a "notoriety" point. Gaining, let's say, 10 notoriety points ranks you up to Soldier, and it would increment at a wider and wider range after that.

That seems a bit unfair. I don't think it should be based on other users judgement, as the top user would probably get a lot of negative "notoriety" points.

Notoriety can't be decreased, only increased.

There's no way to do that, unless we code the whole forum ourself.

And as we all know, I have no fucking clue how to do that.
